In support of AAUW’s national mission of advancing educational and professional opportunities, the Orlando/Winter Park Branch of AAUW provides educational scholarships. Funding for scholarships comes from branch fund-raising activities, individual contributions of its members and a generous bequest from Ruth Riales. Although not college-educated, Ruth Riales valued education and in 2008, her donation created a legacy to help others achieve their educational goals. Scholarships are awarded annually to qualified applicants who are currently enrolled at a regionally accredited college/university or are currently enrolled in a vocational program at an accredited school..
