Did you know that Nickwhistle (NCCWSL) has nothing to do with whistles?  Or people named Nick?  NCCWSL was born in 1983, when representatives from national gender equity organizations saw the need for a leadership space dedicated to empowering collegiate women.  Since then, AAUW has taken the helm of the conference and NCCWSL has transformed into an essential experience for any woman serious about creating meaningful impact on her campus, mobilizing her community, and preparing for personal and professional success after graduation.

With more than 10,000 attendees over the conference’s history, NCCWSL is the premier leadership event for college women in the United States and globally.

Anne Bubriski, our UCF University/College Partner, has recommended three UCF students to attend the conference in 2019.  Each student will receive a check for $600 to help defray the costs of the conference:
Kirsten Cherry
Mariah Fermin
Shaye Glover

Oh, BTW, Nickwhistle stands for National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (now you know why we call it “Nickwhistle.”)
